We bought our new sofa last night!

I’ve been looking forward to buying a new sofa for weeks – and had been really excited about making sure I’d chosen the right one.  I spent months planning what I wanted – looking at fabric swatches, and the types of sofas that I wanted.

Three key elements to choosing that new sofa

ü  What style did I want? – I’ve been planning this for years so I had to decide whether I wanted a sofa that was designed to slot into a corner, was in several separate pieces, part of a suite…Once I worked that out, I knew that I could move onto the next step.

ü  How ‘padded’ – we’re all very fond of bundling up on our couch and watching TV – so we chose a recliner set that was pretty soft.  I spend most of my day sitting on the couch with my laptop working, so it was important to me to ensure that my seating area was comfortable and cosy.

ü  Which material? –which material is something we needed to look at.  We weren’t so worried about removing the covers, but it had to be easy to care for – I hate cleaning so anything that makes it easier to clean my house is about the most important thing to me when buying furniture.
