Lighting a Bathroom Space

Bathrooms are traditionally very difficult areas to redecorate. There are lots of reasons for this, the biggest being that bathroom-spaces are often modestly proportioned. This gives you little space to play with, and minimal options for transforming the space.

Take an en-suite for example. They are usually only very small rooms, and exist to compliment the functionality of a master bedroom. A well designed en-suite can work great, however one that is cluttered or badly decorated can really drag down the quality of the bedroom-space as a whole.

Luckily, there are several relatively simple things that you can do in order to enhance the quality of your smaller bathroom.  The key thing to remember is that bathrooms are very functional spaces, and so it is important you never make design decisions that override the important functionality of the space.

There are lots of things that you can do to increase the apparent spaciousness of a bathroom. Mirrors for instance, create the illusion of depth in a bathroom, as well as performing their obvious function.

When combined with bathroom lighting a mirror can be doubly effective. Space saving ceiling lighting works especially well in a smaller space, and as lights reflects off the mirrored surfaces it creates not only the illusion of more space, but also a very attractive aesthetic effect.

At Harrison Lighting we stock everything that you need to redecorate  a smaller space like a bathroom. From lights for your ceiling to strip lights and even mirrors.
